Peck Racing Looking to Sweep the Heritage Series...
In March, Peck Racing made the trek down to Bakersfield, California for the 55th Annual March Meet. The March meet is known the be one of the most prestigious races in nostalgia drag racing. By the end of the weekend, Mike Peck and his team were the last ones standing. After winning this prominent race, there was no question about contending for the 7.0 Pro Championship. July 7-10, Peck racing drove down to Sacramento, CA for the second scheduled 7.0 Pro race in the series. Our toughest competition, Bobby Cottrell was also present at this race, looking for a rematch from the March Meet and that is just what he got. Three rounds later, Mike and Bobby would meet again in the final round. Bobby got out of the groove and too close to the center line forcing him to lift early and Mike to take the win with a 7.009.
There is one more points race in the Heritage Series 7.0 Pro Class in Salt Lake City, Utah August 23-24. Peck Racing will be heading that way to not only try and sweep the Heritage Series points races but to also be crowned the 7.0 Pro Champion, the first Champion with a pedal clutch.
